Led by MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari, scores of Congress workers marched to the BJP office in protest against the alleged misuse of the ED by the Union government against senior Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Patwari told reporters, “The BJP is conspiring to defame Opposition leaders by filing false cases. The true face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ED has been exposed before the nation today”.
“The Gandhi family has sacrificed everything for the country with lives and property. The Congress party will not be intimidated by these false cases. We will raise public awareness and expose the true face of the BJP to every citizen”, he asserted.
He challenged Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, saying, “We are Rahul Gandhi’s brave lions; we will not be intimidated by your sticks and water cannons.”
The State Congress Committee maintained that the Congress will continue its struggle against any attempt to suppress democracy, the Constitution, and the voice of the Opposition.
